• Vague Visages why critics often fail when writing about acting
• EW Forget to link up to the Meryl Streep as Donald Trump thing. Sadly no better video has emerged than this very shaky cel phone
• Playbill in the most exciting theater news imaginable The Lovely Laura Linney and Cynthia Nixon will co-star in the revival of The Little Foxes. The best part? They'll be alternating roles periodically!
• TFE ...If you missed our Smackdown which featured The Little Foxes you should read it. It is a great play which made for an excitingly cutting movie with killer performance by Bette Davis and Patricia Collinge. Can't wait to see it on stage and see what Linney & Nixon do with those two very different roles.

lol that pie chart link is funny and 100% logical
OMG--such great theater news. Already have at least 5 on my list of must-buys tickets for the 2016/2017 season in NYC/DC, will now have to add this one with Laura Linney.
Re Streep/Trump--the shaky cam was owned by none other than Nora Ephron's son. Guess he had fairly decent seats. But that pic of Meryl-as-Donald frightens me. Looks like the real Temple Grandin and Mad Magazine's Alfred E. Neuman had a baby--a very old baby.
Surely Alexander's abs are CGI'd? Gah.
Streep nd Baranski helped to raise money for the Public Theater. I thought her shady look was hysterical.
I think Meryl should just forgo movies once and for all and return to the stage where she'd started.
Nat: That amount of training gives me the hilarious idea that Jim Gordon might actually be this continuity's version of Wildcat. After all, almost every adaptation or reboot of the Justice League has someone new (sometimes it's adding to the codename count, admittedly, but it counts) effectively become a "founder." (Who are the founders? In order: First, we have the original seven: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Barry Allen, Hal Jordan, Martian Manhunter. Next: Robin on the Super Friends variant. Then: Black Canary post Crisis. Post Zero Hour: Triumph. Justice League Cartoon: Hawkgirl/Woman, John Stewart, Wally West. Smallville: Green Arrow, Bart Allen, Cyborg. Justice League: War: DC's Captain Marvel. With Wildcat as Justice League 2017's addition, that makes a total of 18 founders.) Or Zack Snyder is an idiot who wants every dude to look as ripped as possible, even when it undercuts the character dynamics.
Is there anything Meryl couldn't do? I'm still waiting for that Meryl Streep action-blockbuster franchise to come around.
Understandable why Streep thanked her makeup man and hair stylist during her third Oscar speech. She is freakishly accurate looking to Trump.
Nina Hoss has been playing Regina (the Tallulah Bankhead/Bette Davis role) in The Little Foxes to sold-out houses in Berlin. I'm hoping that it's playing when I'm still there in the fall at the start of the new season and that I can get tickets as soon as they go on sale in a couple of weeks.
I love evil Linney, like in Mystic River!
Linney are Cynthia Nixon are usually cast in "nice" roles. The Little Foxes will be a a significant change.
Very nice post glad to have came across it.
Thanks for sharing.
