Congratulations, Lily Tomlin!
Lily Tomlin will be honored with SAG's Lifetime Achievement Award at this January's ceremony. SAG is strong with the actress-loving (unlike Oscar). This marks the 4th year in a row that the award has gone to a woman following Carol Burnett, Debbie Reynolds, and Rita Moreno.
We celebrated Lily a lot here last year with a look at her filmography, my own top 10 choices amongst her performances and I was proud to be on the poster for Grandma extolling her virtues so we've already had our say. I only ask that during the clip reel they show something from I ♥️ Huckabees (2004) because I'll never get enough of that character. I wish she and Dustin Hoffman could do a whole series about them or at least occasional webisodes of the further adventures of Vivian and Bernard, Existential Detectives.

At least something good came out of her being crazily shouted at by Russel.
WELL DESERVED. Wish the Oscar would come around soon too.
Excellent. Looking forward to a deliciously salty speech.
I love the photograph.
Yes! I love her so much and I have newfound appreciation of her talents after that tremendous performance in Grandma last year.
Simply wonderful news.
It so disturbs me that David O. Russell directed I Heart Huckabees. Where did THAT director (with THAT unique voice) go? The thing that initially piqued my interest about his work has all but disappeared from his filmography. Is he even remotely interested in ideas anymore, or just personalities? That's how his filmography reads.
Fantastic! I wish the Oscars would follow.
I'm still quite mad SAG didn't nominated her last year, but oh well....
Congratz, Lily! X3
Very happy for her recognition... she is deserving.
Dolly and Jane must do the tribute!
Sonja: they had to make room for Helen Mirren in Woman in Gold and Sarah Silverman in Home for Purim.
@Mike in Canada
Well, good that they feel guilty now. ;)
