Adam Driver to Star in Spike Lee's Upcoming KKK Drama
Fresh off wrapping the filming of blockbuster The Last Jedi, Adam Driver returns to his auteur musings this week by signing on to Spike Lee's new crime thriller Black Klansman. Lee will write and direct the film with a cast that already includes Spider-Man: Homecoming's Laura Harrier and Baller's John David Washington.
Klansman tells the story of Ron (Washington) and Flip (Driver), two cops who manage to go undercover and run their local Ku Klux Klan chapter. Focus Features has picked up the distribution rights for the project. Get Out's Jason Bloome and Jordan Peele have also signed on to produce.
Exciting news for Driver who, in 2017, has already found success working with acclaimed directors Noah Baumbach and Steven Soderbergh. Also exciting for the undercover cop genre that's already stacking up for next year with this and Karyn Kusama's upcoming Destroyer.
What unlikely auteur-star collaboration are you hoping will come next?

Love Adam Driver. Shoulda be nominated for Paterson.
Driver is an excellent actor. I'll give anything with him in it a shot.
How did I not know that Denzel Washington's son had become an actor? Anyway, this sounds like an exciting, promising project for all involved.
I'm not the biggest fan of Driver, he's hit or miss, but I'm impressed that in a short amount time he's managed to work with so many auteurs.
@ Troy
He's currently on HBO's Ballers with The Rock.
Oh no, not Laura Harrier! She was awful in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
I think Driver should have been our Best Actor winner last year for Paterson.
Dayum, he had Paterson and Silence last year--nice. Keep going, dude!
