Chris here to start your weekend with some star gazing. Time Magazine's annual list of the 100 most influential people is here! While there's the usual assortment of world leaders, innovators, and executives (not to mentions some unsavories), it's the magic makers of the entertainment sort that catch our hearts here at The Film Experience. That ebullient Viola Davis cover to your left is nothing if not a factory for happiness.
The assembled talent and wavemakers run the gamut from Ava DuVernay to Sarah Paulson to Riz Ahmed to Constance Wu, the kind of future Hollywood we actually want to see. And where is Damien Chezelle, Mahersala Ali, Isabelle Huppert ? Esp Huppert deserved to be listed for her body of work alone
Honestly what is criteria to be listed on Time 100 because some choices are questionable
I expected next year feature Nicole Kidman, Jessica Lange, Colin Farrel, Beyonce (again), Julianne Moore
My fav has gotta be Sarah Paulson. Specifically, Cate writing about working with Sarah Paulson on Carol. Bless.

Yes, of course to VIOLA and EMMA. But I think my vote would go to Constance Wu and Riz Ahmed.
Riz Ahmed is outstanding and he's been Oscar-worthy at least twice... not only "Nightcrawler", but also the MUST SEE comedy masterpiece called "Four Lions".
My fav is Sarah Paulson. Getting that kind of compliment from Cate!!!!!
