10 Oscar's Sci-Tech Awards
11 WGA Writers Guild of America Awards
13 VES Visual Effects Society Awards
16 Loveless (Russia's Oscar nominee), Early Man (Aardman animated feature) and Marvel's Black Panther (starting 2018 off with a rowr) all open in theaters
17 ASC American Society of Cinematography Awards (their nominees are the exact same as Oscar this year which is rare)
