The most depressing part of LITTLE WOMEN (1869) is not when Beth dies but when Jo's short story wins a prize of $100, reminding any fellow writers reading the book that freelance rates have remained roughly stable SINCE THE RECONSTRUCTION ERA

it is true that CATS is a horny abomination, but it is also true that you WILL end up sexually attracted to one of the cats by the end. you don’t get to choose, the cat will choose you. that’s your cat boyfriend now.

Why does Tom Holland’s character in two separate animated films, by two different animation houses, from two separate studios, in two completely different genres look exactly same? (Bar one bluish tinge) pic.twitter.com/uVjc9OVmW2

The Force Awakens was about reigniting nostalgia and inviting new fans to old myths. The Last Jedi was about how nostalgia is a trap, but if you let it go you can build from its memories new myths. The Rise of Skywalker is about...two hours long.

All this hate for Cats is making me happy. I hope this serves as a lesson of what not to do and have Tom Hooper given a fate worse than what Michael Cimino had for Heaven's Gate (which is still a brilliant yet flawed film).
If the industry can’t rescind Oscars, can they at least mandate studios advertise every future Tom Hooper project as “from the Oscar-winning director of Cats.”
@MJ “from the Oscar-winning director of Cats.”
This is a brillant!!! lol
