Are you watching the Golden Globes tonight?

On the red carpet Natasha Lyonne is a complete joy, marvelling at her career ('slow and steady wins the race!'). While Laverne Cox is still giving complete chaos as an interviewer, it's generated some fun moments like this exchange with her Orange is the New Black co-star.

LAVERNE: What story are you talling us with this look?

NATASHA: I'm telling you rain-proof. Noah's Ark could come and I'd be ready in my two zebras: Givenchy. David Webb.

LAVERNE COX: This is how you prepare for Noah's Ark?

NATASHA: Well you know that from the Bible. It's all right there in black and white so I'm just following God's wishes as usual.

I've had a feeling that Yeoh would win Best Actress all season, and I think tonight helped her. She gave a great speech, while Blanchett wasn't there, and it looks less likely that EEAAO will win Picture or Director, but they'll want to give it one of the major awards (I don't know if Supporting Actor is enough).

Had no idea they were on...don't really care. However, we all love Jennifer Coolidge but she was given another award for being Jennifer Coolidge. Anyone that watched "Fleishman is in Trouble" knows damn well that Claire Danes earned and deserved that award. THIS is why award shows don't matter, it's not really about the work.

Isn’t Jamie Leigh Curtis lovely? There is something so incredibly disarming about this icon standing on the red carpet waiting to be interviewed, sneaking up behind the impeccably attired Laverne Cox, and stealing a kiss on her bare shoulder. Nothing in the show came anywhere close to that moment for spontaneity and sheer delight.

I’m not sure what to make of The Fabelmans’ Best Picture status right now because on the one hand, its win at the Globes probably at least puts it above Top Gun, but on the other hand it underperformed at SAG, particularly with Michelle Williams being left out but also Judd Hirsch (who wasn’t a lock or anything, but if he was going to show up anywhere that’s where it would have been).

It’s a four-way race at the moment, although I will say if Top Gun doesn’t win the PGA you can pretty much count it out.

I don't want to call it too soon but it looks like Bassett is getting the veteran Oscar I thought was going to go to Curtis,it's definitely one of those 2 now for in supporting.

I assume Bassett is winning for her great career and because Boseman didn't get the Oscar or she's really worthy in the role,I don't know cos i've not seen Wakanda or the first Black Panther.

De Armas seems close now to the nomination,passion can take you over the edge next to solid turns but dull turns.

Quan was lovely and has it all sewn up.

Farrell vs Butler then for the Oscar or will Fraser rally with Sag and Bafta

I only liked a few of the dresses.Angie must've thought she was going to loose cos she wore silver not gold.

As most have though all season long it's Yeoh vs Blanchett.

Is Eddie this years' Jared Leto type nomination that doesn't pan out.

The Fabelman's is not really my BP but it's nice to see Spielberg up there still being honored.

I loved the ceremony. Such passionate and fun speeches. Great seeing the Beverly Hilton ballroom full again.

I like Jerrod Carmichael a lot but thought he basically phoned in performance. It was fun seeing him get as many wardrobe changes as women usually get when they host something like this and he looked smashing in all the outfits. Was his decision to offer the bare minimum some sort of political statement or just cynicism?
