Links: Captain Chris Evans, Fan Bingbing, and Queer-free Freddy

THR A yummy Chris Evans cover story on Trump resistance, Captain America as the key figure that allowed the MCU to flourish, and his superhero-free future. He really wants to do a musical!
Oh So Geeky fetishisizes the good captain with millions of gifs in this piece about his arc within the MCU and Avengers Infinity War in particular. So much Chris Evans this week!
The Guardian For its Chinese release Bohemian Rhapsody has lost three full minutes (including all queer references, any mention of AIDS, and what sounds like the loss of one entire character - Mercury's boyfriend). The movie has made almost a billion worldwide. Maybe have some respect for Mercury's legacy, Warner Bros, and just not release it in China?

More after the jump including animation lawsuits, what's next for Alex Wolff, the end of Game of Thrones, and a must-read Fan Bingbing article...

Would you rather?

OMG. Did you hear that Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster are doing The Music Man on Broadway together for the 2020 season? Aaaaahhhhh how perfect. Anyway, since Hugh is on the brain (and seems to be getting younger !?!), it's time for another round of our celebrity-fantasy quick decision poll time ago (an excuse to share our fav instagram posts on the regular essentially). So, would you rather

... go falconing with Hugh?
... get your beard did with Rune Temte (Captain Marvel) in Oslo?
... reenact Lady & Tramp with Justin Theroux?
... reminisce about Natural Born Killers with Juliette Lewis?
... ice skate with Jonathan Van Ness?
... have a drink with Russell Tovey & Andrew Scott?
... ride camels with Sandy Powell?
... chopper to an island for fine snail delicacies with Michelle Yeoh?
... dunk your hair in the pool with Tracee Ellis Ross?

Pictures are after the jump to help you decide.

Stage Door: The misunderstood, exquisitely sung "Superhero"

by Nathaniel R

Don't let the title fool you though it's not at all deceptive. Tom Kitt's (Next to Normal) newest musical both does and doesn't involve superpowered do-gooders. This anguished but gorgeous intimate drama is, more specifically, about a teenage boy who loves comic books (new find Kyle McArthur who has been with the show since its developmental process). The boy is still reeling from the death of his father two years before the play begins. He loves to draw superheroes which we see projected on to the stage at times. His widowed depressed mother (Kate Baldwin), struggles to connect with this typical juvenile obsession ("What's Happening to My Boy?") especially since they really need each other given the sorry fate life handed them.

Early in the musical the boy becomes obsessed with a mysterious neighbor who he is convinced is either a superhero or supervillain --  the jury still being out...
