Get Out Party Chatter

"Thanks for this. It made me think about the time my dad saw Dr. Strangelove in a theatre in Japan. He was the only person laughing. Different communities can have such opposite reactions to the same movie. This is something I love about movies, and also why they're so important. Movies really do help us see and understand others' experiences, often even better than news report/footage." - Cash

Visual Index ~ Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid

We're celebrating the career of Robert Redford on and off this fall as All is Lost approaches. It's startling how many classic films he appeared in!

Hit Me With Your Best Shot is nearly ready to ride off into the sunset for the season (one more week - Spring Breakers is next Wednesday!) so we put it on horseback with luscious cinematography by the Oscar winning legend Conrad L Hall. Here were the shots chosen by our Best Shot club in what narrative order I remembered them in... hopefully correct. Click on the images for the accompanying articles on Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) and by all means watch this popular free-spirited winner on Netflix Instant Watch

Color me stunned that this batch is so Katharine Ross focused! And she's in mine too (coming soon). I was expecting more shots of Butch & Sundance together

Nathaniel, don't you know your readership? ACTRESSEXUALS. :)

I'm surprised no one has chosen a shot from the gorgeous, sepia-toned opening scene.

I love this blog, but sometimes I wish the readership weren't so actress-obsessed, sigh.

That last posted shot is really beautiful.
