COMMENT DU JOUR
Adapting "Guardians" -a screenwriting interview

I especially like that part about how boundaries can be a good thing. Knowing where the plot points have to hit always stops me from wandering aimlessly in my writing. Some may see those thing as cookie cutter but I've always found them inspiring.❞ -Daniel

Maleficent Cake. Yum?

Happy Birthday Angelina Jolie! They made a cake for the megastar when Maleficent premiered in China. (More pics of her visit at Variety). Do you want some?

Pleez, it's not like Angelina is actually going to eat it!

You saw her with the pizza at the Oscars or, rather, you saw her without the pizza at the Oscars. I suspect we're going to get way too many Disney Villain movies now that Maleficent is a massive hit. But I really don't think they should make an Ursula cake. Seafood is not for dessert.

Someone at imdb had suggested writing a book about Mrs. Danvers from Rebecca and I think it's a great idea for a movie too.

The great thing about an Ursula live-action is casting an actual plus size actress in the part. And they can go young or old, black or white.

Mo'Nique
Queen Latifah
Kathy Bates
Gabourey Sidibe
Melissa McCarthy -- the first person they'll ask and will likely agree to do it
Margo Martindale
Lena Dunham
Camryn Manheim
America Ferrera
