Oct 13th Darren Aronofsky's Mother opens in movie theaters starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, and Domnhall Gleeson
Nov 22nd The all star remake of Murder on the Orient Express opens in movie theaters starring Michelle Pfeiffer (in the Lauren Bacall role), Kenneth Branagh (in the Albert Finney role), Judi Dench (in the Wendy Hiller role), Daisy Ridley (in the Vanessa Redgrave role), Olivia Colman (in the Rachel Roberts role),  Johnny Depp (in the Richard Widmark role) and Penélope Cruz (in the Ingrid Bergman role). The original was nominated for 6 Oscars in 1974, including two for acting: Bergman and Finney. How will the remake fare with critics and the Academy?
Dec 11th 25th anniversary of Love Field (1992) which was unfortunately Pfeiffer's last Oscar nomination
Dec 25th Who cares. Santa comes way early in 2017 with the best gift: Bringing La Pfeiffer back

and...

Michelle's last Oscars appearance. Pictured with Julianne Moore & Kate Winslet backstage which is too much actress bliss for one photo

March 4th, 2018 The 90th Academy Awards. Cross your fingers for Pfeiffer as nominee, or at least presenter. Her last Oscar appearance was singing Jeff Bridges praises for the Best Actor presentation for Crazy Heart (2009)

No Date Yet The Sundance drama Where is Kyra? has no concrete release plans yet :(

hope we get didtribution news for Kyra soon... Netflix and Amazon bought everything at Sundance, yet they couldn't fork a little for Michelle?

Penélope Cruz in the Ingrid Bergman role???!!

This is all great! I'm particularly excited that these projects actually sound GOOD or at least somewhat promising--we're not getting bit parts in Tim Burton films or straight-to-Lifetime movies with Ashton Kutcher. Having been a fan of hers for a while, I'm well aware that she could completely disappear for ten years after this, so I'll enjoy this period of increased visibility while we have it.

Also, I love that photo with Julianne Moore and Kate Winslet. She looks very bored by whatever Kate is saying. lol.

Nathaniel are you going to be ok? Michelle, Julianne and Nicole all seem to be heading into a great year.

CANNOT WAIT for Where Is Kyra! Why is it taking SO LONG?! Michelle Pfeiffer and Kiefer Sutherland WHAT MORE does anyone need? This should have a release date already!

Hello, does anybody here know the url of the new messageboard that Pfans from imdb created? I wasn't able to register in time before the imdb officially closed the boards. Thank you!

She's not bored. Getting her mind prepared for the upcoming Jeff Bridges tribute. Which was fabulous.

I sense Winslet shade in Pfeiffer's eyes.

Michelle is looking at Kate's dress, and she's thinking exactly what I'm thinking.

I hope Mother is good for both Pfeiffer and Lawrence. That movie is very hard to get a read on, but maybe a trailer will solve some of the mystery around it.

I bet IFC will buy Where is Kyra? Just seems like a perfect fit, going by the reviews.

March 6, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterF*ckTrump

I think with a resurgence like this, along with the resurgences of so many older actresses in the past few years, she has a really good chance of getting a nomination

Forgot about the 30th anniversary of The Witches of Eastwick on June 12, which was her first true box office hit.

Also Where is Kyra? will get an Oscar push from Lionsgate in December.

Lionsgate picked Where is Kyra?? I hope it really happens!
