Interesting they have Judi Dench in the #1 spot for Best Actress... they do make strong points... Acadamy just worships her and this might be her last chance to win a lead trophy... Sadly, I heard she is going blind :(

No sentimental narrative for Dench. She has a statuette; Bening and others are waiting on their first and likely only.

Is that Chastain in the pic she looks very different.

Mark, she's always been a physical chameleon.

I actually couldn't place that photo at first either. I wondered if it could be Natalie Portman, but it didn't quite fit.

I thought Chastain was Jennifer Garner in that Molly's Game pic. I'm curious as to how that one will turn out, it being Sorkin's directorial debut and all.

Parting Glances is so good!

I'd love a BA selection of non-winners only:

Chastain
Bening
Close
Mara
Hawkins
Ronan
Mulligan

any worthy non-winner, really, I wouldn't even mind of it's the babe factor (Ronan, Mara, Mulligan, Chastain) that wins the award, as long as it's a good enough performance delivered by an actress who hasn't won before.

Yavor - i agree. I do wish Oscar would share the wealth.
