I think /3rtful looks for errors so he can gloat over people.

The fact that Kirk Douglas is still alive is incredible. I'm just wondering.... will the MCU put him in a cameo role for Avengers: Infinity War 2 as Hank Pym's dad who kills a mega-super villain? I think it would be cool to see a legend in a huge blockbuster and be the oldest film star to be in a mega-blockbuster film that is likely to make a shitload of money.

I think "Quite Bankable" is misleading, she was the Top Box Office star 3 years straight in the 60's and for 8 years in the top 10 Box Office stars when it really matttered even Julia can't claim that.

Ah just love these list Nathaniel ! Well you gotta move someone up - good old Doris Day is already 96 (born 1922) which she apparently forgot as she was to busy picking up stray dogs or kissing soap - anyway story broke last year when her birth certificate was found. I still love her and think she should be honoured big time - what a voice - what a talent in her good movies with Cagney & Hitch & Sexy Rexy Harrison. Even though the general vibe in the industry for her abilities is rather negatory ... which can't really understand if you watch her range ? Anyway the weird unfortunate thing with the Honorary Oscar is that the recipients tend to die a year later ... so maybe its a good thing ;-)

The fact that von Sydow doesn't have an honorary Oscar is outrageous. It they wait much longer it might be too late. Nobody lives forever. (Wouldn't it be great if he and Ullmann received honorary Oscars the same year?)

Estelle Parsons was as Sharp as ever on the new Roseanne, even though they kinda changed her character's demeanor from the original.

It's worth pointing out That Doris Day is 2 years older than stated here. Ditto Lee Grant.

Trivia: Stanley Donen has the record of most DGA nominations (5) without a corresponding Oscar nomination in that category. Christopher Nolan was in equal second on 3, along with Rob Reiner, until January this year (yay!).

(PS haven't actually trawled through ALL the DGA nominations, so happy to be corrected on this.)

I loved seeing Eva Marie Saint at the Oscars this year. She looked and sounded great. It's hard to believe she's 94. I hope the Academy continues to make invitations like that in the future.
