"Wicked" and "A Complete Unknown" are hits with SAG
The "guilds week" continues with SAG revealing their nominations and shaking up the Oscar race. Wicked is today's biggest champion, scoring in five categories, including a surprise Best Supporting Actor nomination for Jonathan Bailey. A Complete Unknown also got a major boost, as did The Last Showgirl, while The Brutalist and Sing Sing underperformed. The Screen Actors Guild has a more populist taste than almost any of the major awards-giving organizations, including AMPAS, so expect some discrepancies between these and the Oscar lineups. Still, when it comes to winning, it's difficult, though not impossible, to take home Hollywood's most coveted trophy without a SAG nod to match.

- Michelle Yeoh
While not wholly unexpected, these results still portent doom for the campaigns of some of the season's top contenders. How will Sing Sing – a film about acting as a healing mechanism, an art, and a salvation – perform with the Academy if the Screen Actors Guild is so resistant to it? The Brutalist's Best Picture hopes also crumble under the weight of this absence. In my mind, Wicked and Emilia Pérez have come to the forefront as the frontrunners while everyone else is trying to catch up.
Nathaniel will probably write about the actors left out of these cast lists, but one needn't go deep to notice some glaring examples. Emilia Pérez being exclusively represented by its Cannes-winning quartet looks silly, but Conclave getting in without Carlos Diehz is patently absurd. I also can't help but wish that some of Anora's supporting ladies had made it. Justice for Darya Ekamasova!
Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role
- Pamela Anderson, THE LAST SHOWGIRL
- Cynthia Erivo, WICKED
- Karla Sofía Gascón, EMILIA PÉREZ
- Mikey Madison, ANORA
- Demi Moore, THE SUBSTANCE
This feels like the end of the road for Angelina Jolie and maybe Nicole Kidman. Strangely enough, such results don't particularly hurt the surging Fernanda Torres and Marianne Jean-Baptiste, whose films were never the kind SAG tends to embrace. They are the most mainstream of all major precursors, generally allergic to non-English-speaking cinema and auteur-driven projects that fall on the austere side of things. Such Oscar nominees as Hüller in Anatomy of a Fall, Cruz in Parallel Mothers, Aparicio in Roma, Negga in Loving, Huppert in Elle, Rampling in 45 Years, Cotillard in Two Days One Night were ignored by the guild. Moreover, SAG voting closed on January 5th, meaning Torres' Golden Globe win and speech had no effect on their decision. The same can't be said for the Oscar nominations, whose voting window opens today in the middle of a PR onslaught by Sony Pictures Classics, which seems fixated on getting the Brazilian leading lady her flowers.
Even so, this nomination should be a great honor for Anderson, whose personal narrative is bound to strike SAG voters hard. The same could be said for The Last Showgirl in general. I struggle to see the film score as well with AMPAS, partly because Demi Moore is the current frontrunner with a very similar career trajectory behind her.
Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role
- Adrien Brody, THE BRUTALIST
- Timothée Chalamet, A COMPLETE UNKNOWN
- Daniel Craig, QUEER
- Colman Domingo, SING SING
- Ralph Fiennes, CONCLAVE
The Best Actor SAG is Chalamet's to lose unless Fiennes pulls off a surprise win on the way to the Oscars. Once again, it's worth remembering that Sebastian Stan's Golden Globe win came after the SAG nominations had closed so that victory's impact on the race is still impossible to assess. But of course, Craig just made the case for his viability as a contender, even with a group whose taste feels as incompatible as possible with Queer's fantasia of desperate desire, sweat, tears, and ayahuasca.
Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role
- Monica Barbaro, A COMPLETE UNKNOWN
- Jamie Lee Curtis, THE LAST SHOWGIRL
- Danielle Deadwyler, THE PIANO LESSON
- Ariana Grande, WICKED
- Zoë Saldaña, EMILIA PÉREZ
Is Jamie Lee Curtis about to snag herself an afterglow nomination? It's possible, especially considering she also made the BAFTA longlist. Jones and Rossellini falter, even though the latter's film got an ensemble nomination. That could spell trouble for those stanning the Italian femininomenon. It's nice to know Deadwyler is still in the race, even though she was shut out by BAFTA and the Globes alike. Finally, as Barbaro rises as a potential contender, one thing remains true about this race – Grande and Saldaña are locks while everything else is a mystery.
Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role
- Jonathan Bailey, WICKED
- Yura Borisov, ANORA
- Kieran Culkin, A REAL PAIN
- Edward Norton, A COMPLETE UNKNOWN
- Jeremy Strong, THE APPRENTICE
For as cringe-y as the internet might find him, Jeremy Strong is beloved within the acting community. And yet, it's notable that he got into Supporting Actor while Stan was left outside the leading men's race. No matter what, Strong will lose to another leading man in the form of his Succession baby brother. Bailey is the big shocker here as far as inclusions are concerned. Snub-wise, this is a disastrous portent for Denzel Washington's chances. For context, since SAG started handing out awards, the actor has never scored an Oscar nomination without before being embraced by his guild. Edward Norton easily jumps ahead of him in predictions, and it might be time to consider leaving Washington out altogether.
Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture
- DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE
- DUNE: PART TWO
- THE FALL GUY
- GLADIATOR II
- WICKED
Furiosa not being here invalidates the entire category in my eyes. Well, SAG watched Gladiator II, making Washington's absence all the more puzzling. As for Wicked, it's got to be the frontrunner to win the ensemble prize if it even made this list. Based on what, by the way? Not the dance, since that doesn't count for this race. Maybe Cynthia Erivo's airborne antics in "Defying Gravity" and that levitating stunt at school. Is that enough to justify its nomination?
Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series
- BRIDGERTON
- THE DAY OF THE JACKAL
- THE DIPLOMAT
- SHOGUN
- SLOW HORSES
Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series
- Kathy Bates, MATLOCK
- Nicola Coughlan, BRIDGERTON
- Allison Janney, THE DIPLOMAT
- Keri Russell, THE DIPLOMAT
- Anna Sawai, SHOGUN
Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series
- Tadanobu Asano, SHOGUN
- Jeff Bridges, THE OLD MAN
- Gary Oldman, SLOW HORSES
- Eddie Redmayne, THE DAY OF THE JACKAL
- Hiroyuki Sanada, SHOGUN
Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series
- THE BOYS
- FALLOUT
- HOUSE OF THE DRAGON
- THE PENGUIN
- SHOGUN
Get ready for another Shogun sweep, as the show is bound to win these three races. The only chance something goes differently is Best Actress, where Kathy Bates's popularity might put her slightly ahead of Anna Sawai. Even the Japanese actress is a fan, judging by her Golden Globe speech.
In other news, Jonathan Bailey gets his third SAG nomination of the year as part of the Bridgerton cast. Multiple nominees are all the rage with this guild, of course, and it'd be even more of a trend if they added supporting categories to the TV races. As it stands, it's odd to see Allison Janney's two-episode guest appearance on The Diplomat's second season competing with a bunch of leading ladies, including Keri Russell from the same show. But going back to double-dippers, do you know who deserved to be one? Jack Lowden who acts circles around Gary Oldman in Slow Horses.
Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series
- ABBOTT ELEMENTARY
- THE BEAR
- HACKS
- ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING
- SHRINKING
Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series
- Kristen Bell, NOBODY WANTS THIS
- Quinta Brunson, ABBOTT ELEMENTARY
- Liza Colón-Zayas, THE BEAR
- Ayo Edeberi, THE BEAR
- Jean Smart, HACKS
Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series
- Adam Brody, NOBODY WANTS THIS
- Ted Danson, A MAN ON THE INSIDE
- Harrison Ford, SHRINKING
- Martin Short, ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING
- Jeremy Allen White, THE BEAR
I remain convinced Colón-Zayas won the Emmy last summer because voters believed they were awarding her for the third season of The Bear. Her showcase episode, "Napkins," is a perfect character study in miniature that allows the actress to deepen a characterization that's been pushed to the margins during most of the show's run. Honestly, if I were a SAG voter, I'd be hard-pressed not to pick her even though, truth be told, little of what she does could be considered comedy acting. Then again, categorization arguments about The Bear are a tired subject so let's move on.
Some other oddities involve Short making it but not Martin, whose character was much more emphasized in this season of Only Murders in the Building. It's also a pity that no new show scored an ensemble nomination. A Man on the Inside would be my pick, with its cast full of elderly thespians who deliver phenomenal work. Stephen McKinley Henderson, Sally Truthers, John Getz, Susan Rutten, Veronica Cartwright, and Margaret Avery are all awards-worthy.
Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series
- Kathy Bates, THE GREAT LILLIAN HALL
- Cate Blanchett, DISCLAIMER
- Jodie Foster, TRUE DETECTIVE: NIGHT COUNTRY
- Lily Gladstone, UNDER THE BRIDGE
- Jessica Gunning, BABY REINDEER
- Cristin Milioti, THE PENGUIN
Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series
- Javier Bardem, MONSTERS: THE LYLE AND ERIK MENENDEZ STORY
- Colin Farrell, THE PENGUIN
- Richard Gadd, BABY REINDEER
- Kevin Kline, DISCLAIMER
- Andrew Scott, RIPLEY
Some of these miniseries picks are cuckoo bananas. Bardem over Koch? Bates over Lange??? And then there's the fact there must have been a tie in the voting since Best Actress has one extra nominee. If that's what made Lily Gladstone's possible, I can't complain. She's marvelous in Under the Bridge. That said, Archie Panjabi's even better, and it's been terribly sad to see her ignored all season long.
How do you think the SAG nominations will impact the Oscar race? Is Jolie out for good?
Reader Comments (27)
Copy that leading actress quintet identically and paste it to the Oscars please.
Yay for Johnatan Bailey. He brought life in Dancing through life. Doubt he'll going to Oscars... But if it happens
Thanks God the beautiful Isabella Rossellini wasn't nominated for being a background actor in Conclave (I know she is one of the few real supporting actresses in the race, but she wasn't giving Beatrice Straight my dears).
Go Wicked! Go Emilia!
Finally Jonny!!!
I’ve been waiting for him and Eydelshteyn to get their flowers this season. But I had given up tbh
Is Ramirez not included in the single-carded cast of Emilia Pérez?
Despite being Denzel it's hard to get in for a film no-one respects or really likes,it's HOG all over again.
Qualley missing is odd, maybe that shows a weakness for The Substance,I stll can't see Demi winning, this is where Erivo stakes her claim to win.
Jones was always an iffy prospect.
That's your Best Actor line up with Timothee emerging as the winner, they loved Acomplete unknown.
I have noticed if there are surprises at SAG it's usually for films that are shiny and new or those released early which explains Deadwyler and Strong.
Pearce missing is odd esp due to who replaced him,Bailey is pretty that's all,Strong is highly respected plus he's playing a real person who dies tragically so I sort of understand it but he'll miss at Oscar time.
I think the Isabella miss is probably due to the fact she's in for ensemble.
Kidman and Jolie will need No 1 votes alongside Torres,Anderson and Baptiste.
Gascon,Madison and Erivo are assured now due the popularity of their films,i'd say Moore is 4th in line,I have a hard time with the horror aspect of Moore's film, they've never ever gone their.
I would say Adams,Swinton,Zendaya and Winslet are dead in the water now.
When is Jeff Goldblum going to get his flowers.
New names to the mix are always welcomed just... not THESE names.
Have you read the theory that they get tired by the middle of the ballot and that's why 17 of the 20 acting nominees are A-M? Makes sense! Voters are lazy
Zappa -- Shares credit with the Doctor.
Pamela Anderson got a SAG nomination! SUCK IT!!!! Honestly, I'm happy for her. She deserves it and I would be ELATED if she won. She maybe the long shot but dammit, I can't root against her.
Thanks Peggy Sue. (You'll find the same A-M phenom among the DGA feature nominees...)
If Jonny had won the Emmy (and not just the Critics Choice) for Fellow Travelers, I'd be predicting him for the Oscar nod, but as it is...
And I am not ready to hand Timmy that Oscar yet, especially since I'd prefer any of the other four SAG nominees at this point. (Brody's looking pretty good after the Globes, and Craig's campaign needs to get a little less...British immediately.)
Darya Ekamasova not making the nomination as part of Anora's ensemble is legitimately wrong. She was one of my favorite elements of a film that didn't quite work for me and has felt extremely overrated this season (although I love Sean Baker... this is easily my least fav entry of his).
Well, SAG sure did make things interesting! They could've solidified things, but they made them way more confusing.
Some of these choices are fun (Pamela Anderson) and some not so much (Jonathan Bailey), but overall I appreciate a different take on the season.
THE LAST SHOWGIRL is this year's NYAD.
Incoming Actress and Supporting Actress nominations only.
This seems to firm up four of the Best Actress spots: Madison (yay), Moore (yay), Erivo and Gascon. Rather than fighting for two or three spots, Jolie, Kidman, Jean-Baptiste, Torres and Anderson are most likely fighting for the final spot.
A BAFTA nod could boost Kidman or Jean-Baptiste, who are both shortlisted. Anderson, Jolie and Torres aren’t eligible for BAFTA, so this was their last shot at a precursor nod. I’m not sure even a BAFTA nomination (they’re eligible) would help Adams, Ronan or Winslet at this point. Tilda is the odd one out—not BAFTA eligible, no BFCA nod, no Globe boost.
I think Jamie Lee Curtis is getting that nomination. It’s funny that maybe her coattails (BAFTA shortlisted) will keep Anderson in the conversation, not the other way around.
Claudio thanks for pointing out "more populist taste"...that's an understatement. What people should remember is that all of SAG votes for these. That includes actors who once got into the background of an Old Navy commercial. The acting branch of the Academy is far more exclusive and discerning. I really think the SAG Awards are so silly on so many levels...definitely the most disposable of all these ceremonies.
And I concur on so many of your points: Laugher as MVP of Slow Horses; Bates over Lange (ridiculous...Bates is full-on *bad* in that film, etc.
The funny thing is that after all the talk about the Best Actor race being lame and the Best Actress race being amazing, SAG's Actor list if incredible but SAG's Actress list is kind of awful! I hold firm that Jolie, Kidman, Baptiste, and Torres are all going to get a lot of first-place passion votes that will take out a few of the ladies here.
I think in such a competitive actress year, Pablo Larraín's usual tricks are not working. Kristen Stewart barely made it in, but she was seen as someone inching toward the Academy's good graces for nearly a decade. There's no rush to reward Jolie again, at least not for this, it seems.
I posted my current Best Actress feelings on the Globes post yesterday, and I must say, I think this sorta confirms what I said:
-
As of now, I see Best Actress looking like this...
- Demi Moore
- Mikey Madison (I've always seen her as a lock for the nomination, but never competitive for the win)
- Fernanda Torres
- Marianne Jean-Baptiste
- Cynthia Erivo
Alt: 1. Gascon, 2. Kidman, 3. Jolie.
Pamela Anderson is the dark horse wildcard.
-
I think Cynthia Erivo is solidly top 3 with Mikey and Demi now.
Yes, Demi is in a horror film, but the narrative matters most of all, and she has that. The Substance did take a slight hit at SAG without Margaret, but clearly, they were doing their own thing there.
I think Kidman is dead in the water at this point. There's zero buzz for her movie outside of her performance, and Oscar never rewards her riskier takes.
Jolie still has a shot due to the nature of the subject, Jolie's star return, and after all, the Academy did nominate both previous biopic turns. But I think she's mostly out at this point.
I think SAG boosted Pamela's chances a lot, but with Demi still sucking most of that comeback narrative, it's tricky. This was a major get, though, especially in the midst of Oscar voting. The Last Showgirl is not dead yet.
I still believe Fernanda Torres and Marianne Jean-Baptiste are very much in the running for nominations.
As of now, I'd say...
1. Mikey Madison (for the nod, not win)
2. Demi Moore (career honors)
3. Cynthia Erivo (iconic role, blockbuster hit, previous nominee)
4. Karla Sofia Gascon (I boosted her to top 5, but this'll depend on if the Oscars love EP as much as others do)
5. Fernanda Torres (no BAFTA chances, but did win Globe, and the film could be nominated for international feature)
6. Marianna Jean-Baptiste (has critics trifecta, could potentially win BAFTA)
7. Pamela Anderson (SAG came right on time for a huge boost)
8. Angelina Jolie
9. Nicole Kidman
-
What a competitive year!
I wouldn't count out Jolie just yet. It's a performance and role right in the wheelhouses of older Academy members.
These nominations seem to clarify that the races are somewhat open this year. Especially when it comes to noms.
While I'm surprised the Brutalist didn't do better, I wouldn't be shocked if it's because the film was underseen by SAG voters or got a late start with industry screenings. I think it should be fine as a BP contender. I do actually think Conclave got a big boost this morning. Rosillini aside, I do think it could easily emerge as a consensus pick to Emilia Perez and the Brutalist.
I guess Jamie Lee Curtis is in her awards era? It definitely feels as if it's happening decades too late (late 80s/early 90s she had a slew of great performances). I see her and Anderson as SAG only nominees.
I wonder if Daniel Craig is this year's Ana De Armas or Bening. The one we all expect to get snubbed, but who lands a nomination anyway. I think he and Colman Domingo are vulnerable, and that Stan could pick up steam for his year with a nomination for A Different Man. But this category could translate or Hugh could shock.
I'm not sure anyone has the stomach for The Apprentice. I think Strong will miss out and we'll see Pearce and possibly Denzel make it in. If Denzel can't get a solo nomination, then the academy is really in a different place than it once was.
The actress line-up suggest that we'll see movement on nomination morning. I think this benefits Baptiste, who is campaigning, and Torres who has a Globe win and one of the strongest studios for solo nominations behind her.
On the TV side, it's fun to see some of the series nominees. But, the miniseries nominees feel odd. The Lillian Hall nomination feels like a slap in the face to Jessica Lange, who gave a great performance. However, Bates has been brillant in Matlock, and I'd love to see her (or Russell) triumph over Sawai.
It really feels like Netflix has dropped the ball this year. They've been focused on Emilia Perez, which is great, but it's wild to see the Maria campaign faltering. They've received multiple Best Actor and Best Actress nominations before. But, they've never had to balance a film that is a presumed frontrunner along a film looking for solo nominations. I wonder if they can't handle.
I am over the moon about Jeremy Strong's nomination. It now looks ever more possible he'll go all the way to an Oscar nomination. What a phenomenal performance.
Anora is my favorite film of the last few years. I love everything about it, but that said I find it baffling that all the Supporting Actor attention is going to Yura Borisov. Fine as he is, for me he's third behind Karren Karagulian and Mark Eydelshteyn. And I second the sentiments about Darya Ekamasova. She may have had a small role, but she stole every scene she was in. Not only should she have been included in the cast list, but should have been nominated for Supporting Actress as well.
@JoeG I did have the stomach for The Apprentice and saw two of the best performances of the year,I also enjoyed it far more than some of these frontrunners.
"generally allergic to non-English-speaking cinema and auteur-driven projects outside their ensemble category"
Not sure I agree with this take. Why would they be allergic to a kind of performance in one category but not the other? My guess is that voters didn't care to watch Maria because it felt like an obligation for a movie that was only likely to get noninated in one category, and Babygirl/I'm Still Here because they are tiny indies that fell to the bottom of the screener heap.
I think Torres maybe replaces Anderson and there's your Oscar 5.
Paranoid Android -- You're probably right, though I was mostly thinking about stuff like PARASITE winning ensemble without a single individual acting nomination. Or how the austere WOMEN TALKING became synonymous with its writer-director's screenplay bid in its season and landed a cast nomination without Whishaw or any of the titular women appearing in the individual categories. Still, it was an unwise generalization on my part that takes a scant few examples and makes them seem like a trend. Indeed, re-reading this, I think you're right, so I will re-do that part of the text.
Also, for what it's worth, I wasn't referring to Jolie's absence or MARIA. Her film is a biopic, after all, and ultimately falls into what SAG tends to like. I was more specifically talking about I'M STILL HERE and HARD TRUTHS, especially the former.
@Claudio
Sometimes with sprawling casts unless consensus coalesces around 1 or 2 performers it's often the case none are nominated.
Maria is ok but a bit of a bore,Jolie is fine in it but it's not that WOW performance you'd expect, the lip syncing is naff and Callas whilst a singular talent isn't Diana or Jackie O.
FYI - Oscar nominations get pushed back to January 19 due to wildfires
OMG the craziness won't stop. So much fun this year, so unpredictable. Way better than last year when by August we were just waiting for Oppenheimer sweep.
One of these surprises will translate to Oscars, I'll guess Monica. Sag and Dga are showing that a complete unknown is peaking just in the right time.
Best Actress is so competitive this year! I’m always rooting for Nicole, but we know her most daring work is rarely rewarded, so if she doesn’t get the Oscar nom it won’t be a surprise. Anderson’s nomination was also a surprise, but I’m skeptical that she’ll end up an Oscar nominee. I’m really happy for her and Demi Moore, though. Definitely wanted to see Marianne nominated, but the momentum just doesn’t seem to be there.
The shakeup in Supporting Actress is also interesting. I really hope Danielle Deadwyler can ride this to the Oscars.
Really happy to see Anderson here. TBH the movie looks pretty bad from the trailer/clips, but Anderson seems so nice and Demi kinda stole her narrative. Ha.
I hope this means the end for Jolie. Hope Erivo joins that list as well and pulls a Margot Robbie.
Gascon, as I said before, would be cool for a trans woman to be nominated, but we've seen plenty better before and we'll see plenty better in the future.
Wicked beng nominated for ensemble is hilarious. As hilarious as Bailey being nominated for supporting actor. He was...fine in the movie. Not even that hot. Like almost everything with that movie, I don't get it.
I also don't get all the love for A Complete Unknown. That said, I'm glad for Monica. She was one of the few things I kinda liked in Top Gun 2.
Danielle Deadwyler, good for her, I guess. Personally I didn't care for her once again extremely over the top performance.
Qualley being snubbed here is crazy.
Jeremy Strong is the best thing about The Apprentice and completely deserves the Oscar nod. Stan is better in A Different Man, though.
Washington...bye. Gladiator 2 is one of the worst films of the year. Shockingly bad filmmaking and acting all around.
Even though I'm complaning a lot, as I do every year, it's fun having a lot of questions marks left in the race.
Here we go.
Actor
Chalamet vs. Fiennes is a reality.
Brody winning the Golden Globe made me afraid, but in believe in my boys.
I'd like to see Eisenberg taking the 5th spot over Craig, or even Domingo.
Let's see.
Actress
Moore is the frontrunner and is probably the winner.
Anderson and Madison can surprise, but I don't believe.
Yes, I'm completely passed of for Kidman. My babygirl deserves better.
Erivo over Kidman is disrespectful, a bad joke.
Anyway, Kidman still can receive her 6th nomination, but winning without a SAG nom? Unfortunately, not.
Gascon made it, good for her.
Torres and Jean-Baptiste can be nominated (after winning GG in Drama i consider her locked) but both will not win the Oscar.
It's fact.
And Jolie is out, aa it should be.
Supporting Actor
Well, I couldn't be happier.
Culkin, Norton and Strong are locked.
Probably Borisov too.
So, the 5th slot.
Certainly not Washington. Yes, his out, out, out! He, his over the top performance and his bad movie.
So, who will be nominated?
I don't believe in Bailey.
Maybe Pierce. Maybe Tucci or Lithgow, aka Alan Alda in "The Aviator" or J.K. Simmons on "Being the Ricardos).
But, I don't know why, but I think Mark Eydelshteyn will surprise everybody and get a nomination.
Supporting Actress.
Yes, Jamie Lee Curtis. I told you so.
Also Barbaro, I knew she wasn't out.
And I believe both will be Oscar nominees.
Grande seems to be inevitable.
Saldaña is a lock.
I really hope Rossellini complete the list.
If not, I think its between Gomez and Jones.
I don't see Deadwyler getting in for that movie and that performance.
And I never believed in Qualley or Fanning.
CAST
Certainly it's A Complete Unknown vs. Conclave vs. Emilia Perez.
Unfortunately, I fear Emilia Perez can get it.
And I will repeat this all my life: "NO, SAG CAST ISN'T AN ALTERNATIVE TO A BEST PICTURE AWARD." It never was and never will be.
About TV?
No patience for that.
About Torres chances (and I think she's in):
Who was the last Golden Globe winner in Drama who wasn't Oscar nominated? Jim Carrey in "The Truman Show"? Winslet wasn't for "Revolutionary Road ", but was for "The Reader".
Supporting was Aaron Taylor-Johnson in "Nocturnal Animals", right?
