Answer me these questions three

Yours truly is sick-sick-sick today so please inspire me right out of this cold by answering questions. First Which movie cures illness? What makes you feel so good that you leap right out of the metaphoric bed with the ability to run a maraton. This is the time when we really wish A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood had already arrived in screener form.

On Twitter today there was a brief shout-out to Debra Winger's Terms of Endearment performance... and it reminded that one of the very first time I heard someone discuss the art of acting in passionate detail was a Siskel & Ebert special 'if we picked the Oscars' or some such. They were split on Shirley or Debra in Terms. What's the first time you were ever enthralled listening to people talk about acting? 

Finally I promise to write about this year's Oscar race in the morning. Which category do you most want to discuss?

Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood was difficult to write about. That's what happens with dense movies. Naturally, then, my review left out something major. It was only after publishing it that I realized I hadn't even mentioned the extended scene that is the movie's most impressive on a filmmaking level. I'm talking about the significant detour when Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) visits Spahn's Movie Ranch. He used to shoot a TV show there a decade earlier but it's now Manson Family territory, thanks to the retired and now blind George Spahn (Bruce Dern)...

What's on your cinematic mind?

It's an open thread. Do tell! 

If you need a prompt, here's one: what's the most recent time a movie popped into your head for no apparent reason that you could explain? For me it was Gosford Park (2001) early this morning. Maybe it's because Downton Abbey is coming to the big screen? Who knows. Regardless, I think it's a sign that I'm supposed to watch it again because this isn't the first time that Robert Altman movie has been all like 'Nathaniel, you barely remember this film you loved so much. Come visit.'
