Eleven Awesome Things From My Day Today: Revenge episode on Hulu, cooking pumpkin treats with Frankie, reading, writing, self-indulgently sharing my day with strangers on comment thread, watching More Than Heaven Can Allow with Rock Hudson and Jane Wyman, laundry's getting done, beer, coffee, self-indulgently sharing my day with friends at party tonight, reflecting on awesome Halloween episode of American Horror Story which I just watched last night
Timothy -- yay! I love the retitle of the Rock Hudson movie. lol. that movie is so great! and now i'm realizing I forgot Rock in prettiest movie stars.
11 Favourite Things: Pizza (OMFG Ive had so much pizza in the last 2 weeks...), Going to the Movies, Talking About Movies, My beautiful Girlfriend Carolyn, Ryan Gosling (for real'z if he releases a film, I'm bound to watch it), Nathaniel Rogers (been my hero since 2008 xD), Writing (anything really), Moulin Rouge, Being sarcastic, The Doors (why's Jimbo dead...) and rabbits...I've lost faith in cats
Ha! Oh yeah: All That Heaven Allows. I wrote "More than..." Guess I'm feeling greedy on 11/11/11
I love that you keep Inside Oscar close to you as you type.
It taught me a lot of things: Only four critics groups matter (LAFCA, NYFCC, NBR, NSFC); Cher is important; the 1987 best supporting actress list had a lot of Anns; that Rob Lowe-Snow White thing was a BIG DEAL; you can find a negative review about almost any acclaimed performance; it's fun when foreign films take off; the documentary and song categories have always been weird; some years are better than others; "was the streaker/David Niven-shortcomings-line staged?" is my moon landing; Isaac Hayes is important; I have an addiction.
Is Hathaway still considered young? She'll be 29 tomorrow.
I love snakes too! But.. show me a non-human and I'll show you something I love. (Just..not too close if they're insects)
Gene Kelly but no Cary Grant??
By the way 11+11+11=33 - Jesus's age. Isn't that interesting? No, I didn't think so :p
James T -- i realized after publishing that anne hathaway is too old for the list (i was trying to be all 24 and under so carey mulligan is too old too. and yes Gene Kelly... to me he's like one of the most attractive people who ever walked the earth.
anthony a -- awww. i love u too. you made me smile and i needed that today.
My 11 Favorite Actors of Today:
Tilda Swinton & Michael Fassbender (First Lady and Lord of Ubiquity as of now), Ryan Gosling, Nicole Kidman, Viggo Mortensen, Kate Winslet, Ewan McGregor, Marion Cotillard, James McAvoy, Saoirse Ronan, Mia Wasikowska.
And purely for fun... 11 Actresses I'd like to gather at a table for coffee:
Meryl Streep, Emma Thompson, Marisa Tomei, Melissa Leo, Maggie Smith, Anjelica Huston, Judi Dench, Kate Winslet, Helen Mirren, Catherine Keener and Laura Linney. We'd talk about backstabbing bitches in Hollywood and we'd all have a laugh. The stories these ladies would have to tell me!
And 11 Actors I'd like to gather at a table for coffee:
Michael Fassbender & James McAvoy (I can only see them as a pair now after X-Men), Ewan McGregor, Jude Law, Ryan Gosling, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, James Franco (but only if he's Pineapple Express-like stoned), Ian McKellen, Dustin Hoffman, Brad Pitt and George Clooney.
And, oh well, 11 Actors and Actresses who should work more often:
Daniel Day-Lewis, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tom Wilkinson, Marisa Tomei, Laura Linney, Jude Law, Anjelica Huston, Glenn Close, Holly Hunter, William Hurt, Albert Brooks.
And 11 Actors and Actresses who are just starting and I already want them gone:
Chloe Moretz. X11. Seriously.
*this gorgeous fall weather
*leftover lamb saag for lunch

*finally watching "Tree of Life" today
*leaving work early
*the Scruff app
*Netflix
*my co-workers (LOVE. THEM.)
*getting paid a day early
*Patti LaBelle YouTube clips (unintentionally hilarious all the time)
*laughter
Oh yes, Gene Kelly no question, from the front OR the back. ;-) But I think I'd have to swap out Rudolph Valentino for Keanu Reeves. Gary Cooper is my absolute all time favorite male beauty BUT I think his window of real beauty was almost as narrow as Marlon's. Still catching Gary Cooper in anything from the silent era up until about 1936 is swoony. I wanted to live in the cinematography of "Morocco."
I realized you've sen a lot of movies lately. If you can't review them, why not write 11-word reviews to celebrate this date?
11 Favorite Films of the Year So Far (in no particular order): The Tree of Life, Bridesmaids, Rango, Drive, Rise of the Planet of the Apes (I know, I'm shocked too!), Harry Potter..., Source Code, Crazy Stupid Love, Moneyball, The Help, Take Shelter
11 Films I Can't Wait to Catch Up With on DVD: Beginners, Poetry, Certified Copy, The Debt, Contagion, The Devil's Double, A Better Life, Midnight In Paris, The Beaver, Warrior, Hanna
11 Upcoming Films I Want to See RIGHT NOW: THE ARTIST, The Muppets, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (the book reduced me to tears), The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Like Crazy, Carnage, A Dangerous Method, A Separation, Hugo (screening talk has swayed me), My Week With Marilyn, Melancholia
11 favorite performance so far this year:
Viola Davis (The Help), Vera Farmiga (Higher Ground), Michael Fassbender (Shame), Jeremy Irons (Margin Call), Vanessa Redgrave (Coriolanus), Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (50/50), Anjelica Huston (50/50), Dagmara Dominczyk (Higher Ground), Brad Pitt (Moneyball), Bernice Bejo (The Artist)
Oh, and YESYESYES to Gene Kelly. Although I'd replace Keanu with Rock Hudson, Takeshi Kitano with Tony Leung, and Gary Cooper with either Gregory Peck or Valentino (so few male stars have earned the one-name treatment - are there any others?). And depending on the day, I prefer Belmondo to Delon. Today, Delon wins. I would almost put Cary Grant on that list, but he wasn't pretty to me. Good-looking, yes. But not pretty.
this one ought to be popular around here - in honor of J. Edgar, 11 BEST MOVIES DIRECTED BY CLINT EASTWOOD:
The Outlaw Josey Wales, Unforgiven, Letters from Iwo Jima, Pale RIder, Honkytonk Man, A Perfect World, Million Dollar Baby, High Plains Drifter, Bronco Billy, Bridges of Madison County, and Bird.

The Good, the Good and the Ugly, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Unforgiven, A Fistful of Dollars, Dirty Harry, Pale RIder, Honkytonk Man, For A Few Dollar More, Magnum Force, Every Which Way But Loose, High Plains Drifter
My eleven things for the day that's in it: pancakes, Kim Ok-Bin (so happy to see her on the young actresses list!), Michael D. Higgins, Ultraculture's Hugh Grant gif wall, The Rubberbandits, Aidan Gillen's imdb profile pic, Fringe, luxurious socks, Lonesome Polecat from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, lists, and Spinal Tap.
I agree with Mike in Canada about your "Inside Oscar" book: that book provided me with the title of a story (but the journal that published wasn't keen on it): "I wish I were Kim Hunter tonight." Anyone who knows that book prolly knows who spoke it and why. :)
Last 11 movie screenings:

11 TV Shows That Need More People Watching Them I Mean Seriously: Fringe, Parks & Recreation, The Good Wife, Community, Happy Endings, Revenge, Castle, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Ringer, Cougar Town.
