This Happened on Tuesday. Miraculously The Earth Continues Spinning.

How is it possible that the entire universe did not implode from Too Much of A Good Awesome Thingness when planets as magical as Tilda and Pedro collided right here in NYC? Also present - photographic evidence at Paper Mag: Rossy de Palma, Courtney Love, Bruce Weber, Sarah Jessica Parker, John Waters... and so on. The WOW Report shows you what Emma Stone, Elizabeth Olsen, Cindy Sherman and other luminaries were wearing to the same event.

Not present: me. Which is perhaps for the best since I would have imploded.

This calls for a Caption This!
Pedro: "Picture it. Madrid. Red, you, me, Victoria Abril, musica! "
Tilda: "you blow my fucking mind"

If Tilda learn italian for "I am Love" she can learn spanish for Pedro, can't she?

I actually don't think Tilda would be a good fit for Pedro. Yes I Am Love was melodrama at its finest but her alien, severe presence was perfect for it. Pedro's women are very earthy. Plus if her Spanish was as choppy as her Italian in I Am Love (Which again worked for the role), it would be way too jarring as Pedro has masterful command of his language in his films.

But Tilda and Pedro are both interested in gender and identity.

If you wanna go that route, Grace Jones would be a better fit.

Almodovar please get your english langauge film together soon without your first choices of Meryl Streep and Kate Winslet--they're too vanilla for your sensibilities.

Who could play Streep shaped roles?--Weaver since she did in the 80s. Anjelica Huston is just waiting for the chance to be molded by Pedro. Cate Blanchett--ditto for the new Streep and Blachett replacement Jessica Chastain.

I guess if he gets someone more interesting than Streep--that's basically everyone else he can use Winslet without her becoming too vanilla.

My prayer for Nathan is that Pedro gets bitten by the Pfeiffer spider, in the process, giving you a reason to live!--Of course if one day he watches some American cable movie channel showing either Dolores Claiborne or Fried Green Tomatoes, he'll say to himself she's the ideal all-Amercian woman, I need to write for her size and age, center the whole picture around her.

I don't know. . . . Looking at this picture, I suddenly want to see Tilda play Andy Warhol. In fact, I want to see several more movies with her playing a man.

Add Isabelle Huppert to the Almodovar's left and the next universe can start forming.
