What will & should win Best Comedy at the Emmys?

"If Veep wins I won’t complain. Really smart series that ended on a perfect note." - Lucky

"Russian Doll is probably the most affecting show I watched over the last year. It's brilliant and I love it - but as you say, its format and its tone is not at all friendly to it winning this. I" - ScottC

"Fleabag: Exhilarating, high wire stuff. Any episode is a masterclass of writing." -Arkaan

Tweet Things 2

It's our weekly curated collection of a dozen or so showbiz-related tweets we think you might enjoy. Some are true and some are funny like these two.

And others just make us smile.

There's more after the jump involving Richard Burton's diaries, Meet Me in St Louis, The Snowman,  Winona Ryder, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri and more. But first how's this for an FYC plug? I mean is Sarah Paulson's asking us, we're considering...

Winona doesnt age. She, along with Jared Leto and Halle Berry, must have sold her soul top the devil or she has a painting hidden somewhere....

Its impressive but spooky and bizarre at the same time.

Miss Ryder has very good genes- and I agree with Mr Hidalgo- there is a century of cinema out there people lots of treasures to discover

It’s even more fun to watch movies from before your parents were born. “Would my grandmother have watched/liked this?”

Haven’t finished ST2 yet but agree about the actor. When he got taken early after that remarkable performance in the abduction scene in S1 I was like: “so, wait, we have to watch the whole rest of the show without him?!” The othe boys just didn’t compare.

Side note, this season of ST2 makes me wonder (along with IT) why attractive ginger “loser” girls are fashionable right now? Is this cultural spillover from Julianne Moore’s oscar win?

Thanks for these roundups. Don’t have twitter but I do enjoy clever things!

Oh man I probably would've crushed on both Danny and Kyle in high school. Pretty sure I did actually.

Also I'm super into Janney vs. Metcalf. Either way, we all win.

I was lucky enough to score preview tix for "Lady Bird" so I am seeing it tomorrow (it doesn't open here for another few weeks.)

"Three Billboards..." opens here 17th, I'm waiting.
