The Venice reviews for "The Truth" are calling Catherine Deneuve "magnificent". Could she be going for Oscar gold ?

Thanks for all that.

Do we know when Netflix will start streaming THE LAUNDROMAT?

I look at the calendar and I worry about you, my friend. It's the tightest!

Travis- The Laundromat is streaming on Netflix October 18th.

Aside from a couple titles I’m not excited about this year’s slate at all. But there are always gems to be discovered. We shall see how it turns out.

"Dolemite is My Name" should be a shoo-in for a costume nom, based on the preview. I'm excited to see it, and how Eddie Murphy does - plus Keegan-Michael Key, Craig Robinson, Tituss Burgess - plus Snoop (even if his performance is only 5x the screen time of the trailer, I still love seeing that guy).

I'm excited for "Dark Waters" as well, b/c Todd Haynes, but also Mark Ruffalo has been sequestered in marvel movies and I'm excited for him to be in a movie that is for me (or at least not "not for me"). He has more "The Kids are Alright"/"You Can Count on Me" level performances in him. hopefully having been the hulk brings him more opportunity to do great acting.

Variety and the Hollywood Reporter have just published absolute raves for Marriage Story. Will the Academy finally recognize Noah Baumbach for more than just a Screenplay nomination?

If they are still working on Dark Waters, a November 22 release may be pushing it. I wonder if it will be delayed to 2020 after all, with a Cannes premiere. Something similar happened with Foxcatcher - it was pushed back even after a trailer was released years ago.

Suzanne, last month there was a LA screening of Dark Waters. I believe Todd Haynes can finish

editing the movie by 11/2019.

Grammy Award nominations? Ah who cares? The Grammys suck ass and don't mean shit anymore.

Joseph--I'm surprised to read that you're not excited this year. It seems like an excellent year with peak Scorsese, Baumbach, Malick, Almodovar, Parasite. Who knows? If Star Wars is particularly satisfying, it may wind up in the race as a sentimental favorite.

I'm just trying to avoid anything, at all, about "Parasite." It doesn't come hear until the 25th.

OMG, it looks like Oscar Isaac has a sideways boner in that pic...not that there is anything wrong with that! Thanks Disney! :)
