Links: Sharon Stone, Britney Spears, Tower of Terror, The Little Mermaid

Let's start with the obvious...

Sharon Stone photographed by Michael Muller
• Zoomer Sharon Stone talks up her memoir and (eventually) sets the internet on fire by bringing up the idolization of Meryl Streep. Weird how it took this a whole month to go viral since actors usually only risk general platitudes about other people/careers in their interviews. Everything she says is true and if you actually read the interview, it's not a diss on Meryl; it's a diss on the system where there can only be one.

Paparazzi set photos from The Little Mermaid, Britney Spears,  Near Dark, Jean Smart's big year, Pride month and more after the jump in the link roundup...

The Link Place

Glamour Jameela Jamil (The Good Place) to become Titania, She-Hulk's arch-enemy in the forthcoming Disney+ Marvel sitcom
Coming Soon Randomly enough April 8th, 2022 is already a theatrical battleground date. The Brad Pitt action flick Bullet Train, the all-star Viking picture The Northman, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, an untitled Disney film, and an untitled musical from Universal have all claimed the date!
Deadline remember little Julia Butters stealing her scene in Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood? She's just been cast in Steven Spielberg's loosely autobiographical film as his sister

News on the animated feature Belle, first visual (of sorts) from Thor Love and Thunder, a new Zoë Kravitz project, two animated series Human Resources and Centaurworld, and more after the jump...

Linking on Empty

Washington Post reviews a new book on Elizabeth Taylor & Montgomery Clift's friendship
TFE <--- in case you missed it we discussed every one of Clift's films for his centennial this past fall
Vulture To say we're thrilled to hear that Todd Haynes will be reuniting with Julianne Moore for his next film, is an understatement. It's a psychodrama called May December in which Natalie Portman will play an actress who is playing Moore's character in a movie based on her scandalous love affair.
• IndieWire Why Brooke Smith is running an Emmy campaign on her own without the studio's blessing (I mean she has a point about paying your dues. But we know from years of experience and category fraud that Hollywood cares very little about non-leads.

Queer horror, Jane Campion's latest, Harrison Ford, fav musicals, Sex and the City, and more after the jump...

IndieWire Christian Petzold (Undine, Phoenix) offers 7 tips for a successful career
Illuminerdi Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta rumored to be playing Namor the Submariner in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which means the plot will probably be an Atlantis vs Wakanda situation

Borderlinks

Deadline Master and Commander (2003) is finally getting a sequel... or rather a prequel based on an earlier book so new actors will be in the Crowe/Bettany roles
Vanity Fair an interview with screenwriter Michael Waldron who is helping to shape Marvel's Phase 4
• The Guardian profiles After Love director Aleem Khan. We really want to see this film. The mother role sounds like a great part for undervalued and excellent Joanna Scanlon

More after the jump including Billy Magnussen, Borderlands, Cruella, Dick Van Dyke, The Conjuring franchise, and rumors about The Color Purple movie musical...
