In episode 2 we learn that Celeste's husband Perry (Alexander Skarsgård) is abusive and even their love life is violent. Meanwhile Renata and Madeline get into a screaming match in a restaurant over an upcoming children's party, and Madeline's two husbands -- the ex Nathan (James Tupper) and the current Ed (Adam Scott) -- rub each other the wrong way.

On This Day: Globes for two goddesses. Plus a non-jolly green giant

On this day in history as it relates to showbiz...

1892  One of Old Hollywood's most undersung but talented 1930s directors Gregory La Cava is born. Classics include Stage Door and My Man Godfrey
1913
Famed abolitionist and American hero Harriet Tubman dies of pneumonia. So glad she's getting biopic treatment soon. And twice over!
1938
The 10th annual Oscars are held with The Life of Emile Zzzzzola winning Best Picture and Louise Rainer taking her consecutive Best Actress prize but the most enduring anecdote was of course the theft of Alice Brady's Oscar for In Old Chicago.
1958 Sharon Stone is born in Pennysylvania

The 1959 Golden Globes (and more) are after the jump...

Love is complicated for Keira Knightley

by Murtada

It seems that Jason Clarke has cornered the market on playing husbands whose wives look elsewhere in 2017. That is one of the plot threads of the Sundance hit Mudbound where Carey Mulligan plays his wife, who has eyes for his brother played by Garrett Hedlund. And now in the The Aftermath he’s a British colonel in Germany right after WWII, whose wife (Keira Knightley) forms a bond with the German widower (Alexander Skarsgård) who used to own the house they now live in. The film just finished shooting in Prague under the helm of James Kent (Testament to Youth). It might appear on the fall festival circuit.

Knightley was seen this week in London shooting scenes for that Love Actually sequel we’ve been hearing so much about...

YNMS: Rough Night

Chris here. With the vengeful bitches of The Beguiled, the raucousness of Girls Trip, and the asskickery of Atomic Blonde coming for our eyeballs, it's shaping up to be a delightfully less macho summer movie season! And now the Broad City team of writer/director Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs is bringing another female-led delight for the summer, Rough Night. Scarlett Johansson leads the exciting cast of Zoë Kravitz, Kate McKinnon, Ilana Glazer, and Jillian Bell for the debaucherous (and deadly) bachelorette party - brace yourselves for "Bridesmaids and The Hangover meet Weekend At Bernie's" comparisons as this one opens.

The first trailer brings the NSFW laughs and shows off the ensemble - so take a look and we'll break down the Yes No Maybe So after the jump...
