It's Not Supposed to Happen This Way

Dear readers I must apologize. I have no witticisms or insightful movie references or rallying words or anything to offer in the wake of our national tragedy this morning...

Celebrity Patriots

These showbiz peeps rocked the vote, today. Their next important vote: guild voting for Best Movies / Performances of the Year (or just continuing to be fabulous if they're not a guild member)!

YNMS: "Wilson"

Chris here. Next year has more than enough to offer with comic book adaptations, but here's a first look at something outside of the superhero variety. From Daniel Clowes's graphic novel, Wilson stars Woody Harrelson as a rascally buffoon partnering up with an ex-wife (Laura Dern) to find the daughter she had put up for adoption. Fans of Clowes's Ghost World and Art School Confidential (both the films and graphic novels) can expect some off-kilter humor and sharp character study - with The Skeleton Twins director Craig Johnson taking the directing reigns from Terry Zwigoff.

Take a look at the NSFW trailer and our YNMS thoughts after the jump...

Get out and vote so we can move on to the ballots that matter!

I kid I kid! This US general election matters more than any in my lifetime and I'm With Her. I'm off to vote now and then, I think, a day at the movies is in order as a palate cleanser from this awful two year long race to the White House.

And then we'll update the Oscar charts. Okay? Okay. Have a great day!
