THANKS IN ADVANCE
What did you see over the weekend? Sadly I didn't catch a movie (a rarity!) outside of festival screeners. I know you're probably over Jurassic Park (1993) which we discussed last week at length. I mean it's 20 years old plus fading in its second weekend of rerelease, but I have one more Jurassic Memory to share if you'll indulge me.
You may have noticed that I didn't announce my "Best Shot" so I thought I'd draw you a little Movie Diary in order to do so. Better late than never. I bet you're dying to know how Tilda Swinton's Orlando fits into a Jurassic Park comic.
Since you aren't allowed to take photos at Tilda Swinton's "The Maybe", the revival of her 1995 performance art piece where she sleeps in a glass box, I thought I'd tell you about my MoMA visit this past weekend in boxed up comic form. Read quietly. (Do not wake the Tilda)
*note: I intend for 'Actressland' to be a weekly serialized comic but for now, it's one-offs.

Woot! We're (almost) clear!
Movie|Line the new Spider-Man suit. Try to contain your excitement that it's the same as the old one with bigger eyes.
Stale Popcorn the week in Kidmania. (It's so gratifying to enjoy Nicole Kidman with the whole world again.)

/Film The Coen Bros rewriting Unbroken for Angelina Jolie to direct. Whoa. Smart movie Angelina.
Coming Soon James McAvoy make take on the remake of The Crow... although given the concept of The Crow I fail to see why it needs a remake OR a reboot. The idea is that the crow moves on to a new fresh corpse once you've had your vengeance.
Oscar Leftovers

I hadn't even thought of this as a topic but two of my friends had something to say...

Today's Must Watch
David Bowie recruits one of his modern day descendants Tilda Swinton for his new music video. YESSSSSSSSSSSSS
For her next art project I would like Tilda Swinton to star as David Bowie and remake all of his music videos.
Amir here. When I was compiling my list of 2013’s most anticipated films a couple of weeks ago, one of the titles that slipped under my radar was Snowpiercer. With the first official still from the film released yesterday the internet is awash with news about this sci-fi and I might have to adjust my list a little bit!
Snowpiercer, adapted from a French graphic novel titled Le Transperceneige, marks the English language debut of South Korean director Bong Joon-ho. He’s dabbled in different genres but is best known for his two most recent efforts: the monster flick The Host, which became a smash hit in its home country; and the internationally acclaimed Mother, for which Kim Hye-Ja won a bunch of best actress titles including from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association.
