Marion Cotillard Wishes Her Haters "A Swift Recovery"

Guillaume, Marion, and First Child a few months backMarion Cotillard has had it with all the press attention she's getting in the Brangelina divorce. Who knows how the rumors about her and Brad started but Allied (opening this Thanksgiving) surely provided the easy optics. The movie stars are playing impossibly beautiful / sneaky deadly / possibly double crossing lovers in Allied (2016) and you could describe Mr & Mrs Smith (2005), the film that brought us Brangelina, in much the same way.

Cotillard released the following pointed statement, which reads like the equivalent of an eye roll crossed with a death glare. She wants you to know that she's perfectly happy with fellow French film star Guillaume Canet, her longtime partner, and also: she's pregnant again with their second child.

The statement in full and a bit more after the jump...

Brangelina No More
Vox looks at the parallels between Liz & Dick and Brangelina
EW Madame Tussaud's already separated Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's wax counterparts. Nathaniel wept. (Seriously, I'm not doing okay with this. I don't care if anyone thinks its silly. Double star wattage couples of this magnitude happen only a few times a century.)
Slate ranks the remaining A list power couples

Brangelina, smack dab in the middle of their storied romance

Liz and Dick were only divorced for 16 months before they got back together so if I may put in an early request for 2018 Wishes. Lots more (and not just Brad & Angie) after the jump.

Beauty Break: Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt covers the New York Times Magazine in which he wears as assortment of Giogio Armani gear and talks to Man Booker prize winning author Marlon James about Brexit, Trump and Mel Gibson. And of course gives great face while doing it.

As far as magazine celebrity profiles go, this is a very innocuous one. Pitt comes in as a nice and affable guy, but doesn't really offer any interesting tidbits. Except for what he says about Mel Gibson. In the course of discussing a potential film he wants to make about Pontius Pilate, he says that his movie "certainly won’t be for the ‘Passion’ crowd". Then for good measure, adds about Gibson's box office juggernaut:

“I felt like I was just watching an L. Ron Hubbard propaganda film.”

Beauty Break: Cotillard & Pitt in 'Allied'

Manuel here. Have you guys seen the sweeping, swoon-worthy teaser trailer for Robert Zemeckis' Allied? If nothing else, it shows us that Zemeckis understands that Marion Cotillard and Brad Pitt are timeless movie stars whose faces deserve all the beautiful costumes and close-ups they get. The entire trailer is giving me Casablanca vibes even if I'm still unsure what the hell is going on other than these two look like they walked out of a 1940s war film.

Rather than do a regular YNMS for the trailer, I wanted to leave you with 8 moments from the teaser that made me gay gasp...

Cotillard in period garb will never get old. And that red lipstick? Divine...
