Everyone knows the name Ted Bundy, but I’m not sure that everyone knows as much as they think they do about him. I certainly didn’t going into Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, the Sundance premiere from director Joe Berlinger, an Oscar nominee back in 2011 for the documentary Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory. The key curiousity here is the casting of Zac Efron, onetime star of High School Musical, as the notorious killer...
It's our silly hangin' with celebs aspirational time-killer. SO, WOULD YOU RATHER...
• sip a poolside drink with Jharrel Jerome? • attend the AACTA Awards with three generations of the Kidman family? • go horseback riding with Zac Efron? • cheat on your abs workout with Gilles Marini? • pick out a Christmas tree with Tom Holland? • do sauna time with Busy Philipps? • hit the hot tub with Lea Michele? • have an ice cream cone with Reese Witherspoon & Zoe Kravitz? • visit an art studio with Ava DuVernay?
Hard to believe that it's been six whole years since Harmony Korine's last film, the pink and orange hued romp called Spring Breakers, came out - harder still to believe that he hasn't made another movie since. And maybe hardest to buy - this here first trailer for The Beach Bum, Korine's return to movies starring Matthew McConaughey, makes it seem an awful lot like Korine is copying himself? At the very least it looks like it's set in the exact same world that James Franco's Alien lived in - Southern Florida Neon Skeeze.
Still like Spring Breakers it looks fun and maybe even dangerous in equal measure. And McConaughey seems to be having a blast (all the thongs are giving me visions of Magic Mike) plus it looks like Korine's providing some outside-the-box roles for folks like Zac Efron and Jonah Hill. And bless anybody that gives Isla Fisher something to do. So we'll be there when it opens on March 22nd 2019. What do y'all think?

Nicole eats "micro-livestock" aka bugs for Vanity Fair's secret talent theater. Jason made me lol with his response to this video:
Nicole Kidman dislodged her jaw and swallowed Lars Von Trier whole one time on the set of Dogville so bugs ain't shit"
Has anyone else noticed the enormous overlap of faces in Oscar buzzing movies this season? It’s like they ran out of character actors in Hollywood. For the record, I love everyone listed here, but surely there are other talented thespians who need work! Here are the actors I spotted in multiple awards movies, in alphabetical order. If I left any off the list, jump in to add them (for the sake of having a touchpoint, I was including any movie that appears anywhere on Nathaniel’s Prediction Index):
