The Oscar charts are finally going up. Best Animated Feature was the first a month ago but it's been tweaked to reflect Belle, rising, post its special Cannes screening, as well as Disney's stingy release of Luca. We're saving Cinematography and Costume Design for their own posts tomorrow but for now the rest of the Visual charts as well as Score and Sound are up. Yes, we're predicting a strong showing for House of Gucci, Dune, and Eternals in craft categories. Take a look and sound off in the comments.

Danny Glover's cameo in BAMAKO
Despite his fantastic career as an actor, Danny Glover isn't receiving an Honorary Oscar to recognize that work. Instead, AMPAS is honoring him with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award as a way of celebrating his lifelong actions as a community activist, fighting for worldwide justice, and other such efforts. If anything, those values are more imminently evident in Glover's filmography as a producer rather than as an actor. Since the early 90s, after becoming a box-office star, the American thespian started leveraging his success to try and make specific projects happen. Charles Burnett's To Sleep with Anger marked Glover's first experience as a producer, and the funding was mainly secured through his participation in Lethal Weapon 2. From then on, Danny Glover has been a strong supporter of underrepresented filmmakers, helping them make their cinematic dreams come true…

Before implementing the Best Animated Feature category, the Academy gave out three special awards over six decades honoring individual achievements in the art of feature-length animation – Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, and Toy Story were the honorees. It was only in the new millennium that AMPAS finally buckled to rising pressures and created the official prize. In 2001, this Oscar was finally established. click to see it big if you so desireApologies for two movie poster posts in a row but you know time is; sometimes you have it sometimes you don't. Oscar winning Jordan Peele's third film will be called Nope and star Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun. It arrives in almost exactly a year's time. The supporting cast features Barbie Ferreira (Unpregnant), Brandon Perea (The OA), and Michael Wincott (The Crow).
After his zeitgeist horror hits Get Out and Us, Peele is either sticking with horror for good or he's just working through a trilogy of terror before he tries his very talented hands at some other movie genre. Normally super generic and impossible to search on the internet titles make us shudder, and not in the good horror movie way. But Peele's films have thus far earned their simple titles and somehow made them ultra-memorable moments within the films. So we're hoping the "nope" scene in Nope inspires lots of yaaaaaassss from audiences.

1. On a scale of 1-10 how excited are you for his third effort?
2. Do you think aliens are involved since we're seeing the stars and that cloud obviously ain't no natural cloud?
3. How often do you become absolutely furious remembering that Lupita Nyong'o wasn't even nominated for what should have been an Oscar-winning star turn in Us. Sorry. Maybe that's just... us.
