This may be the first time we've ever mentioned the People's Choice Awards as I see they have no "tag" here and EVERYTHING has a tag here at The Film Experience. Obviously we don't mention them because they are embarrassing! But this morning, while waiting for the coffee to brew I chanced upon their "Fav Actress" ballot by way of Jessica Chastain's twitter and that woman has no shame (bless) about retweeting compliments / self-promotion.
And the ballot turned out to be not half bad actually as choices go as long as you ignore the one divergent option. This has to be the most Oscary list they've ever come up with right? But I still felt the need to fix it for them after the jump...
Behold The Film Experience's favorite Tweet of all time.
Dreamt last night that I won an Oscar, and the first thing I did in my speech was thank @nathanielr.

You agree that it's perfect, yes?
Sorry to be so self-serving (actually he's not, Nathaniel says about himself in the third person) but that has to be the nicest thing anyone's subconscious has ever dreamt up about me... that I'm aware of.
A collection of other great tweets including beefcake via miners, politicians and actors is after the jump...
Depending on whether you count 1971's Duel as Spielberg's debut (it's a TV film but most cinephiles seem to count it where they don't count television features as the debuts of other auteurs) Bridge of Spies, opening today, is Steven Spielberg's 25th or 26th full length feature film. His superstar-making run as an auteur (1975's Jaws through 1985's The Color Purple) is so often discussed and mythologized that for this week's edition of Posterized, let's just look at his output in this new century.
Bridge of Spies, the new cold-war thriller starring Tom Hanks, headlining his 4th Spielberg picture, appears to be divvying people up into two camps from early reviews. Doubters say it's too slow and lacks thrills. Devotees praise it's glorious classical filmmaking. Will there be a Happy Medium crowd that meets in the middle and says, 'a little dull sure but worth it for the glorious classical filmmaking'? We all have time to decide now that the movie's open.
How many of Spielberg's eleven most recent films have you seen?
All the posters and what's next for Spielberg after the jump...
Finally
• Fistful of Films Andrew is taking a long hiatus from blogging but this is quite a finale: notes on his top 100+ favorite films. It's quite a range of countries, genres, styles and eras and I'm happy to see many Hit Me With Your Best Shot titles represented and if we even led them to a few of them then our series was a success. Though I must say that reading it, I'm sad he won't be there for our next two episodes - BUT DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU FROM JOINING.
TFE Housekeeping...
We will be hosting those last two Best Shot episodes this month but we've had to cancel that Smackdown '63 we planned. Both Best Shot and Smackdown will return in the Spring as per usual. I should've known better than to plan too much in September & October as it's impossible to do big projects during festival season, 100s of movies coming out, and the build up then countdown to Oscar.
